The
building of indoor markets in the last three
decades the 19th Century was of capital importance
in the configuration and evolution of what would
come to be known as the new civil architecture.
La Concepción Market, the work of the
architect Antoni Rovira i Trias, is a fine example
of this.
The building of the market
occupies a single ground floor plan of 38.5
x 105 metres. This
ground was located on an intermediate level between
the gradients of the streets of València
and Aragó.
